JJ Care Services are a leading boutique provider of essential homecare and disability support services as well as supported living, short-term accommodation and residential respite services within our large centre based in Gymea Bay.
We are currently searching for on call coordinators to join our coordination team to work after hours, providing support, operational and incident management to our field based support workers and nurses during after hours time periods.
About the Role
We are expanding our coordination team to introduce a small team to work exclusively after hours, providing our on call management and coordination service. The role will include 2 hours of active work per afternoon, from 1600-1800hrs, followed by on call until 0900hrs the following day. Weekend on call operates from Friday 1600hrs through to Monday 0900hrs.
You will be responsible for:
- Managing any incidents or escalations as they arise and providing support to support workers and nurses over the phone, eg. responding to incidents and fire alarms
- Giving advice to support workers during escalations over the phone, eg. behavioural deescalation advice.
- Attending to sick leave calls and finding replacement workers for shifts
- Attending to late notice changes by clients and actioning in our CRM and advising workers
- Accepting late notice and urgent shift requests from clients and partner organisations and actioning including setting clients up in CRM, rostering and arranging staff and preparing and providing documentation and quotes
During active hours period, you will be requested to support the day operations team with tasks handed over including administrative and data entry tasks, setting up new clients and following compliance and documentation with staff.
The role is paid at SCHADS Level 3 at a rate of $37.35 per hour and an on call allowance for the overnight period with recall to work being paid at minimum time periods per the award, and penalty rates applicable for work at overnight times.
This role would suit someone who is currently working as a service or rostering coordinator and is looking for something extra a few days a week. We are flexible with family and other commitments and the role is fully remote, work from home role.
