Consultant - Claims and Workplace Health

We help personal injury insurers and schemes, life insurers, general insurers, self-insurers and employers, navigate complex business issues, drive change and implement solutions that enhances performance.

Your opportunity

KPMG’s Insurance Claims and Workplace Health practice is seeking an experienced claims professional who is passionate about helping insurers, schemes and employers deliver better claims outcomes and customer experience for injured persons.

In this crucial role, you'll be instrumental in performing high volume Claim Reviews across a 12 month timeline. Our program of work is integral to improving outcomes on personal injury claims.

This will be for an initial max-term contract of 12 months with a possibility for extension, where you will undertake claims management activities to achieve positive outcomes for our insurance clients and customers.   

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting a variety of exciting and dynamic engagements as a claims specialist.
  • Complete claim reviews to achieve client outcomes, applying principles of liability and claim management.
  • Providing commentary on claims management to date that influence claims performance and customer experience.
  • Delivering a high level of customer service within relevant service charters.
  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders to ensure appropriate treatment and services are being provided on claims.
  • Utilise a claims management system to effectively store information.

Experience:

  • Proven expertise in personal injury claims management.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Victorian workers compensation legislation and regulations or Victorian transport accident legislation.
  • Demonstrated skills in achieving outcomes in a claims management environment.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities, with a focus on improving customer experiences.
  • Familiarity with conducting claim reviews for a variety of claim cohorts.

 

Qualifications:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in a related discipline, such as allied health, mental health or occupational rehabilitation is desirable but not required
