The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) works in partnership with 15 National Boards to implement the national regulatory scheme for health professionals. Ahpra’s overall mission is to protect the public by regulating health practitioners efficiently and effectively in the public interest to facilitate access to safer healthcare for all the community.
The Notifier Support Service sits within the National Legal Practice at Ahpra and works to support regulatory operations and the office of the CEO in the work it undertakes in carrying out Ahpra’s core regulatory and legal function.
About the role
The social worker will provide professional trauma informed and high-quality process and procedural support to people identified as being eligible for the service. At this stage the focus is on matters involving victim survivors of sexual boundary breaches and sexual misconduct. The social worker will play a key role in a small team within Ahpra – the notifier support service. They will work within a multi disciplinary setting, working closely with Regulatory and Legal Advisors.
We have two full-time, ongoing positions available to be located in Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, or Perth offices.

You will be the process navigator for the notifier, by being committed to supporting them through a regulatory and legal process. You will have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, able to express empathy, understanding, and warmth, while communicating in clear and accessible ways. You will have the ability to engage effectively and professionally with internal and external stakeholders on various levels. Previous experience working with clients remotely is desirable.
