Campus Student Support Assistant (Auckland)

Our modern Auckland campus is seeking a part-time Student Support Assistant (Teacher Aide) for a one year FTC until December 2025. This role is 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between 8:30 am–3:00 pm. And will be solely supporting an individual student.

You will work closely with classroom teachers, providing ongoing guidance and support to the student. The role involves data monitoring, communication with families and staff, and contributing to individualised education plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Help the student build confidence and access the curriculum.
• Provide feedback and input during Individualised Learning Plan (ILP) meetings.
• Use strategies to the support student with high needs.
• Assist with classroom activities and equipment preparation.
• Participate in school activities where required.

Experience Required:

• Experience supporting young people, particularly with learning challenges.
• Knowledge of the New Zealand Curriculum and adaptive teaching methods preferred but not essential.
• Strong digital competency and relationship-building skills.
• Patience, resilience, and empathy.
