Job Description
This is an exciting and varied role working with people with complex physical care needs.
Your role is focused on supporting clients with care and expertise. We are guided by our
clients, and you will support with them in a variety of ways to meet their goals within their
home environment and the community.
You will work as part of a team working together with clients to support them with PEG
feeding, catheter care, use of ventilation equipment, hoisting, eating disorders and other such
complex care requirements. The successful applicant would preferably already have these
skills. However, specific client-based training is regularly provided.
Working with a team of dedicated staff, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills
with a team including Registered and Enrolled Nurses, experienced staff and a great admin
team.
Whilst we are a flexible employer, we ask that candidates be able to work a minimum of 15 –
20 hours per week. Including availability to work a variety of shifts, such as early starts, day
shifts, evening shifts, overnights, and weekends.
Essential Criteria:
Exemplary communication skills and attention to detail
Drivers License and comprehensive car insurance
NDIS Workers Check and Working with Children Check
Current First Aid and CPR
NDIS worker orientation module
Well-developed skills in communication, reporting and problem solving
Desirable Criteria
Experience with enteral nutrition, catheter care, respiratory support, hoisting, end of life care and other high care needs (or willingness to learn)
Currently completing Diploma of Nursing, Bachelor of Nursing, Cert III/IV or equivalent experience
