About the role 

We are currently recruiting for an Engineer to join our Overhead Assets Engineering team based in Port Macquarie, however anywhere within Essential Energy’s operational footprint will be considered.

Reporting to the Manager Engineering - Overhead Assets, as the Engineer you will be responsible for development of construction and maintenance standards, and product technical specifications. You will also be responsible for asset failure investigations, technical evaluations and implementation of technologies and solutions across the energy network.  

Additionally, the role will involve project management for implementing engineering standards, solutions and strategies across the energy network.

About You 

You will have experience in a similar engineering role in the Energy/Electrical and/or Utilities Industry and will bring demonstrated experience to utilise analytical and technical knowledge to manage activities during planned and unplanned events providing appropriate solutions to technical/engineering issues in the Energy Network Technical environment.

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor of Engineering to satisfy Professional Membership criterion of Engineers Australia or other Professional Body as aligned to the Washington Accord.
  • Attainment and ongoing successful maintenance of all regulatory, industry and business required licenses, authorisations and other such certificates deemed necessary for the role.
  • WorkCover NSW Construction Induction Certificate (or willing to obtain).

Desirable

  • Level 3 Restricted Zone Substation access.
