We're a medium-sized Human Resourcing Consulting company committed to ensuring that our clients are not only legally compliant but also thriving as employers of choice. Despite our growth we continue to provide a tailored and boutique HR services our clients.

Our HR Consultancy specializes in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Payroll, Recruitment, HR and Payroll system implementations, Workplace Health and Safety, and Workers Compensation. We serve as the guiding hand that small to medium-sized businesses need for comprehensive HR support. We do not expect you to be a specialist in all areas of HR, so we will ask you in your application to advise what areas of HR you shine in.

We may love our jobs, but we also work for the money, so we offer an attractive hourly rate, where you are paid for all hours worked. There is no working extra for no additional compensation here! We also have an incentive program should you introduce a client to our consultancy.

We generally recruit for HR & IR Consultants or Systems and Audit Consultants.

Position 1: HR and IR Consultant

Our HR Consultant Team is dedicated to providing a comprehensive range of services designed to enhance the efficiency and compliance of our clients human resources operations. We deliver tailored solutions to meet their unique needs, and ensure we are asking all the right questions to ensure we are providing comprehensive advice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing expert advice on Award coverage and interpreting awards for clients.

• Offering general Human Resource and Industrial Relations advice.

• Assisting clients with managing absenteeism, performance issues, and serious misconduct.

• Acting as the in-house HR Manager for our regular clients, handling all HR queries, performance reviews, and salary adjustments.

• Sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates.

• Developing policies and procedures.

• Issuing employment contracts.

• Assisting our clients with their Workers Compensation claims.

Our Ideal Candidate:

• Minimum 5 years of Human Resource experience.

• Proficiency in collaborating with clients to understand their needs and suggest effective solutions.

• Strong understanding of Industrial Awards.

• Competence in using HRIS or Payroll systems.

• Basic understanding of payroll processing concepts.

• Exceptional customer focus.

• Outstanding time management and organizational skills.

Position 2: Systems and Audit Consultant

Our Systems and Audit team focuses on System Implementations (both payroll and HRIS system), Payroll processing troubleshooting, and payroll audits. We ensure that our clients are legally compliant and that their systems are set up correctly and operating effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting payroll audits – some are simple, some are extensive over a long period of time

• Liaising with clients to identify what their business needs to achieve out of their system implementation to ensure their system is customised to meet their business needs.

• Implementing the payroll or HRIS System (mainly Employment Hero – Payroll (formally KeyPay), Employment Hero – HRIS and ELMO.

• Working with our clients to sense check their data, looking for any anomalies that need to be rectified prior to integrating to the new system.

• Testing the system to ensure that the awards and pay conditions are being interpreted correctly.

• Running training sessions to project lead (and relevant managers) on how to use the new system.

• Producing learning materials to distribute to managers and staff.

Our Ideal HR and Payroll Systems Candidate:

• Previous experience interpreting awards and EBA's, and then building the rules into the back end of payroll systems.

• Previous experience working with or implementing payroll and HRIS systems.

• Previous experience auditing KeyPay and Employment Hero will be highly advantageous.

• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.

• A mind set of best practice, ensuring that throughout your implementations that you are thinking of the best way to modify the system to meet our client’s needs.

• Is confident in collaborating with clients to understand their needs and identify areas of concern within their business, and then suggesting solutions to rectify these.

• Has a strong understanding of Industrial Awards. We don’t expect you to know all awards by heart, however confidently reading and interpreting awards is essential. This skill set is required for testing payroll systems to ensure that the award is being interpreted properly. Note the awards are prebuilt, however there are occasions where you need to make adjustments, and thorough testing is required.

• Have a strong customer focus – we aim to please.
