Job Title: Head of Operations

Location: Brisbane, Qld - flexible for a remote opportunity for the right candidate.

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer

Status: Full-time

Join our pioneering team at Microba Life Sciences as the Head of Test Operations and help transform healthcare through microbiome science. In this pivotal role, you’ll unify and optimise our test operations globally to ensure sustainable growth, operational excellence, and transformative health solutions. Together, we’ll create a world where human health is redefined by microbiome science.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to)

• Oversee and refine all aspects of test fulfilment, from dispatch to reporting.

• Cultivate high-performing teams aligned with Microba’s culture and vision.

• Develop operational plans in line with growth objectives and regulatory requirements.

• Lead initiatives to standardize and scale test operations globally.

• Identify and execute optimizations for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality.

Skills & Experience

• Proven track record in scaling operations, with 10+ years in senior leadership.

• Expertise in operational planning, compliance, and international markets.

• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent (MBA preferred)

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or a related field is advantageous.
