If you are self-motivated, disciplined, love helping others, and have leadership experience...then this is an opportunity of a lifetime to join an incredible company and exceptional sales team.

  • Join a company that has an amazing culture and is Great Place To Work Certified
  • Sell a product that changes people’s lives
  • Generous annual professional development budget
  • A fully systemised company (No need to reinvent the wheel, hit the ground running!)

The role involves selling, mentoring, learning, analysing and most of all, leading.

Here’s what is required

  • Sales: Prospecting, selling and onboarding new clients

  • Leadership: Interviewing and hiring new team members
  • Leadership: Onboarding and training new team members
  • Ownership: Complete responsibility for new sales and renewals
  • Ownership: Constant learning and upskilling to share new ideas with your team

Think of it as half your time selling, half your time managing and leading. This way you keep your finger on the pulse of the whole operation.

To be successful in this role you must have

  • 2+ years experience in leadership roles
  • 5+ years of sales experience
  • Experience selling coaching services/information products or similar
  • A love for numbers, data and facts
  • A hatred for excuses, laziness and whining
  • The heart of a teacher and thirst for knowledge
  • Drive to be the best version of yourself and inspire a team daily
  • An open mind
  • Home office set up and able to work without distraction
  • A fast and reliable device to work from
  • A fast and secure internet connection

Here’s what we expect from you

  • Walk the talk. You must be making the calls, following the process and leading by example, no exceptions.
  • Total ownership and responsibility for sales and the actions of sales team members.
  • Coaching and ongoing support to your sales team, making everyone feel valued, supported and motivated.
  • Never-ending learning and improvement. Constantly consuming books, podcasts and training in order to sharpen your saw and the saws of others.
  • Flexible on working hours in order to adequately support North American team demands. Approximately 40-50 hours/week.

A little about APB

The Association of Professional Builders is a business coaching company for custom home builders. We provide on-demand training and systems via our membership and have a private mentoring level where we work one on one with builders worldwide.

The work we do matters and every day we are changing lives. Our members are thriving (despite what you might have heard about the industry lately) which has allowed us to expand our operations even further.

We have a team of 35 people (13 of which are sales) across 3 countries and we’re growing safely & securely every day. We’re proud to have recently earned our certification from Great Place To Work Australia after an independent review of our team.

We value culture and attitude over everything else (just read some of our reviews) and we protect our team from anyone who doesn’t act according to our core values.

Our core values

  • We never make assumptions, we ask more questions.
  • We always do the right thing, even when no one else is looking.
  • We celebrate the wins.
  • We don’t take things personally.
  • We make decisions and own the result.
  • We are impeccable with our word.
  • We trust but verify.

Hint: We're going to ask you about these in your interview!

“Everything promised in the interview process has come through and more.

We invest heavily into marketing and aren't afraid to test new opportunities (as long as they are backed by data, which we have tons of as one of the top 1% of Hubspot users).

I've got 100% trust from the co-founders to manage my team and budget (it's amazing how much you can achieve when you're not micro-managed). Sure, that trust comes with accountability. But we are judged based on outcomes, not activity.

We have targets, projects, and expectations. And are given the space to execute.

It's highly motivating and rewarding.”

“I've been working at APB for just over 6 months now, and can honestly say, it's one of the best places I've ever worked! I've learned more in the last six months than I have in several years in other positions, both personally and professionally.

They are a true global brand, one of the fastest growing in Australia, and on a big mission to impact the professionalism of the construction company, which is amazing to be a small part of.

Everyone at APB operate with such high levels of values, morals and integrity, and the services and products we offer are world class, making it very easy to "sell", which is important to me, as I can't genuinely "sell" something if I don't believe in either the company or product. You don't have to worry about that here.

I'd say the most outstanding aspects of the role is the level of professional development you receive here (you never stop learning), the level of support and guidance from both management and great colleagues (positive, encouraging, and there are no "silly" questions), and the high level of systems and procedures ensures you always know what you're doing.

The hardest part of the job for someone who craves human-to-human connection, is the limited opportunity to spend time with colleagues outside of regular job roles, but this of course comes with the territory of a "work from home" role.

The most enjoyable part of the role is our morning sales huddles and monthly (whole of APB) team meetings. They're empowering, supportive, fun and keep bringing you back to the mission we're on. And of course, making a difference to our member's lives!”
