About the Role
As Lead Software Engineer, you will:
✅ Define and execute the technical vision for modernising our product suite, focusing on Azure cloud-native architectures and scalable integration patterns.
✅ Architect & build complex, multi-team solutions, including payment processing systems and data-intensive applications.
✅ Write production code regularly, ensuring high standards of engineering excellence.
✅ Lead cloud migration initiatives and transform legacy applications into high-performance, scalable solutions.
✅ Mentor & coach engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
✅ Collaborate cross-functionally with Product & Business teams to shape technical strategy and drive innovation.
What You’ll Bring
🔹 15+ years of software engineering experience, with expertise in modernising legacy applications, distributed systems, and cloud-native development (Azure).
🔹 Strong C# .NET, TypeScript, and Azure cloud capabilities.
🔹 Extensive experience with payment systems, financial transaction processing, and secure integrations.
🔹 A deep understanding of data architectures, real-time processing, data lakes, and analytics platforms.
🔹 A track record of leading large-scale technical transformations across multiple teams.
🔹 Experience implementing engineering best practices such as automated testing, CI/CD, and performance optimisation.
🔹 A passion for mentoring engineers and growing technical leadership within an organisation.
