UNE Partnerships are looking for a dynamic and experienced People and Culture Coordinator to support our next stage of organisational growth.

Owned by the University of New England (UNE), we are a leading Registered Training Organisation (RTO 6754) providing quality distance and online education to diverse range of students and organisations around Australia and overseas. About the role:

As part of our People and Culture team, you will be responsible for supporting the day to day human resource functions and activities for UNE Partnerships. You will be involved in providing HR-advice, updating policies and overseeing end-to-end recruitment.

This position plays a key role in supporting our staff through the employee lifecycle in a way that fosters a positive and efficient workplace culture.

  • Part-time, permanent (approx. 25 hours per week – hours/days can be negotiated based on candidate’s needs)
  • Fully remote position
  • Immediate start available

What you’ll be doing:

  • Advise on employment-related matters, including workplace policies, industrial relations, and WHS.
  • Update HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, awards and best practice.
  • Championing HR-related learning and development initiatives across all levels of the business.
  • Assist driving our key People & Culture initiatives and projects to support our employees.
  • Support the development and maintenance of human resources management initiatives, including systems for performance management.

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will have a Diploma in Human Resource Management (or equivalent) and at least 3 years of experience in a similar HR or People and Culture role.

Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:

  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, policies and employment laws
  • Proven ability to develop and implement workplace policies and procedures
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly-developed administrative skills, accuracy and attention to detail
