Who are we looking for?

As TMR continues to evolve and expand its portfolio, we are seeking a skilled and dynamic leader to take on the role of RM and drive our partnership forward. To be based in Queensland, this key leadership role blends strategic client relationship management with technical delivery, providing you with the opportunity to lead cross-functional teams and shape the future of our engagement with TMR. You will take a leadership position in working closely with TMR on critical strategic initiatives, while also driving the delivery of key projects. As the Relationship Manager, you will lead the enhancement of our integrated service offerings, ensuring that TMR’s evolving needs are met and that exceptional outcomes are delivered. This role is vital in making a meaningful difference to communities across Queensland. 

This exciting opportunity will require you to work collaboratively with a wide range of professionals and business functions, including Market Leaders, Business Group Leaders and the GHD project delivery teams who service this Key Client across Queensland. With multiple offices across the state, this leadership role requires coordination across regions, offering flexibility in location and ensuring seamless delivery aligned with client objectives. 

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: 

  • Driving business development initiatives within Queensland as the primary focus of this role, supporting and growing our partnership with TMR 
  • Leading and coordinating client-facing activities to achieve a positive client experience. This will be achieved by establishing and growing our clients’ relationships, driving growth, achieving revenue targets, and delivering successful projects and business outcomes  
  • Providing technical expertise as a secondary function of the role, contributing to the successful delivery of projects and ensuring alignment with client expectations and high-quality outcomes 
  • Delivering and exceeding client expectations by strategically executing our client-focused Market Plans and Business Plans within the framework of GHD’s Australian Key Client Program 
  • Developing and growing our network of relationships with key decision makers within TMR as well as key influencers across the transport market in QLD 
  • Identifying strategic major project and longer-term opportunities, to develop a strong forward-looking opportunity pipeline 
  • Ensuring strategic oversight and/or leading selected major tenders and pursuits for TMR to secure significant opportunities.
  • Providing leadership that exemplifies our GHD Values of Safety, Respect, Integrity and Teamwork, with a particular focus to contributing to our commitment as leaders in Inclusion, Diversity and Client Experience. 


What would you bring to the team? 

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, post graduate qualifications / MBA advantageous 
  • Professional qualifications, registrations and accreditations with industry recognised bodies
  • Experience working in a senior role in the transport sector (preferably within QLD), leading client engagement, tendering, winning and ideally delivering major and or strategic projects 
  • Experience operating in a professional services environment  
  • Demonstrated champion of client and technical excellence 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and business & commercial acumen
  • Be an innovative & commercial thinker with a growth and balanced mindset that considers market trends, commercial imperatives and the future of the transport network 
  • Proven in leading through influence to achieve great client outcomes and capable of driving a strong position in the market through collaboration, focus, and responsiveness.

 

This role can be located in any of our Queensland GHD Offices with travel required.
