The HCM Consultant will “bridge the gap” between the business and technical teams by solving complex Workday intersystem problems. They will guide clients through the transformation, implementation, and operation phases of a Workday implementation. They must have a technical aptitude and be capable of configuring the project to meet the business and design qualifications.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Track issues and risks communicate status and escalate concerns applicable for all clients in their portfolio.
    • Guide the client through facilitated design sessions and configuration decisions based on best practices and an understanding of the client’s unique business requirements at all stages of the project.
    • Regularly engage and support the client through all phases of the project, ensuring a smooth transfer from legacy systems to the Workday HCM solution.
    • Perform multiple tasks under limited direction, while regularly keeping the client, the project team and the Engagement Manager abreast of changes or progress related to the project.
    • Willingness to take a leadership position on a project, or as a Cognizantor Workday product Partner Lead and/or Delivery Assurance Reviewer.
    • Display a hands-on expertise of the software, including iLoading client data, moving configuration from tenant to tenant, and configuring business processes and security.
    • Utilize the technical aptitude to convert and map data sources into data conversion templates via iLoads.
    • Act as a mentor to fellow consultants and analysts, including providing support for shadow assignments.
    • Actively participate in update training and internal opportunities to share one’s skills and learnings with others within the organization.

Skills and Requirements:

  • 2+ years demonstrated experience in Human Resources, Talent Acquisition or related experience required

  • Project experience highly desired

  • Workday or similar (PeopleSoft, Oracle, SuccessFactors, ELMO, HiBob) functional experience highly regarded

  • Confident facilitation and presentation skills

  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, innovative, and engaging environment delivering transformative HR Technology solutions

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Human Resources Management, HRIS or related field

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
